MR TINT AND SUN'S SOLUTION WAS TO USE-

1.  A 15% REFLECTIVE FILM ON BOTH SIDES OF THE WINDOW ON THE WEST FACING SIDE
2. A 50% REFLECTIVE FILM ON THE NORTH FACING - NO DIRECT SUN ASPECT.
3. A 50% REFLECTIVE FILM ON THE INTERNAL DOORS AND SERVING WINDOWS ON BOTH SIDE TO REFLECT AND PREVENT ANY VISIBILITY TO THE KITCHEN

1. RESOLVES THE HEAT AND SHADOW ISSUE ON THE TABLES.
2. RESOLVES PARTONS FROM GETTING HOT AND UNCOMFORTABLE AND NOT STAYING AS LONG AS THEY COULD AND THEREFOR REDUCES REVENUE
3. THE FILM WILL REDUCE THE UV-A/B/C TRANSMISSION DAMAGING THE TABLES AND THE PATRONS. IT TAKES AN HOUR OR SO TO PLAY A SET OF BILLIARDS AND DURING THAT TIME CUSTOMER PROTECTION IS PARAMOUNT. MR TINT AND SUN FILMS PREVENTS 99% OF UV FROM PASSING THROUGH THE GLASS

COFFEE SHOP CHALONG

PROBLEMS-

1. TOO HOT AS THE COFFEE SHOP GET BOTH THE MORNING AT AFTERNOON SUN
2. SOME OF THE TABLES BY THE WINDOW WERE UNUSABLE AS IT COOKED YOU WHEN SITTING THERE
3. ITS A LARGE SPACE THAT'S ALL WINDOWS AND ENERGY COSTS ARE A HUGE ISSUE PATRONS COULD NOT WORK ON THIER LAPTOPS OR DEVICES AND STAYED A SHORT TIME AND REVENUE WAS HURT.

MR TINT AND SUN'S SOLUTION WAS TO USE-

1.  A 15% REFLECTIVE FILM ON ALL OF THE WINDOWS EXCEPT THE FRONT DOOR AND THAT WAS A 50% FILM. WE WANTED THE CLIENTS TO FEEL WELCOME.

1. RESOLVED THE HEAT AND CLIENTS COULD SIT BY THE WINDOWS
2. RESOLVES PARTONS FROM GETTING HOT AND UNCOMFORTABLE AND NOT STAYING AS LONG AS THEY COULD AND THEREFOR REDUCES REVENUE
3. THE STAFF HAD TO INCREASE THE THERMOSTAT AS IT WAS NOW TOO COLD. SAVING MONEY FOR THE OWNER AND INCREASED PROFITS

CASCADES RESORT

This is a boutique resort in Rawai Phuket that is an adult resort where couples and friends can enjoy this tranquil environment. Cascades Resort is a short drive to the scenic Nai Harn Beach and a 5 minutes walk to Rawai Beach.

Cascades Resort had two issues that MR TINT AND SUN needed to solve for them.

1. The rooms were too hot and the energy costs were extremely high

2. The rooms along the poolside had privacy issues.

The solution was to provide a 15% reflective film on all sun facing rooms and pool facing rooms. The interior rooms which still had privacy issues were covered with a 50% reflective film which kept them light and airy and provided the privacy needed.

QED MR TINT AND SUN SOLVES ANOTHER PROBLEM

 The ROSEWOOD - PHUKET THAILAND

This was a multi year project that resolved many issues.

Project 1
SILK GLASS WINDOWS TRANSPARENT

1. The beautiful glass - silk - glass windows had an issue that you could see through them. This was a major issue as the windows were exterior facing and you could see inside to the bathroom.
   
   This was not visible on the samples and it was only when it was installed did the problem become apparent.

   The solution was to put a UV film from Korea (Designed for a resort in Bali that had a similar problem) that was slightly opaque and yet you could see the silk material and not the guests on the other side of the glass.
   
   Now you can see the glass is not transparent and you can still see the silk design as that was an integral part of the overall ambiance.

2. Following that the windows through capillary action by being wet during construction absorbed dirty water which stained the silk. The amount absorbed about 5CM initially.

   1. The choice was to replace the windows or develop a fix.

   2. Our solution was to add a 10CM stripe of black polypropylene to hide the water damage.

   3. This worked well till the absorption exceeded the 10CM and the windows again did not look very attractive.

   4. We had to find a new solution. It was not know the capillary action of the water would continue. Heavy rain caused this as the windows are not suitable for outside.

Project 1 - Revisited - 2

1. Once the dirty water stained the silk glass above 10CM some hard decisions and complicated solutions were discussed.

   1. Again the choice was to change the silk glass but that involved removing the windows from 70 rooms that had the silk glass, each room had two windows and that would have put the rooms out of commission and therefor losing revenue and the cost was enormous.

   2. The issue was sent to the glass manufacturers, global brands that offer similar silk glass combinations, the design and project management team without success.

   3. MR TINT AND SUN came up with a solution using a laminated film with an ‘Ombre’ starting at 100% flood ink at the bottom with a gradation in 1M to 0% flood ink.

      1. The windows had both black and brown window frames and wooden decorative uprights.

         1. Each side had an ombre finish to match the frame, so each window on each side had black ombre and the other a brown ombre.

         2. The effect was it solved the problem of the ugly stain and looked beautiful.

THE WATER STAINED SILK GLASS

Fixed with ‘Ombre’ film both sides black and brown. An elegant fix and it saved a small fortune in glass replacement costs. The ‘Ombre’ solution will last for many years and hide future issues with the silk glass.

Project 2

1. The two Villas in their bathrooms had heat issues as well as privacy issues.

   1. This was solved by using Crystal 85% film for the heat and for the privacy the same film as used for the original privacy issue.

Project 3

1. Tinting and Privacy film around the Resort when and wherever needed.

2. Opaque film to hide areas where guests should not see inside. Rooms that at a future date will be used for a different purpose and needed a temporary solution.

The BOATHOUSE Kata had a variety of issue-

1. The most demanding problem was the rooms faced the west and the afternoon and evening sun made them unbearable and it was using a huge amount of energy to keep them cool.

2. Another issue was UV damage to the teak floors and this actually rotted the teak floors which they had to replace sections that were in the sun.

3. UV damage to the furniture also caused problems as the furniture was getting bleached and damaged.

4. The bathrooms also presented a challenge as they had clear glass and you had no privacy in a very private matter. It was from ‘guest comments’ that they decided to add an opaque film to give you privacy and not make the room dark.

   1. The pictures show the test cases we used to prove this worked and we did all the bathrooms and even the glass window between the bed and the bathtub. (Rooms had different configurations)
