Why Solar Power?

Solar Power is an investment that with the increase in utility costs and the decrease in the cost of the components has made it more affordable and realistic.

What is a Solar Power System?
A very simple explanation for a complex solution. However it does not have to be complicated at a residential level.

1. You have solar cells on your roof that convert the sun’s energy in to electricity.
2. An Inverter that transforms the electricity from the panels and converts it to 240V / 110V.
3. A batteries storage package that matches your solar power generation capability that stores the electricity allowing you to use when the power from the grid is off, or at night time or peak times.

I suggest you do your own research into solar so when we sit down and discuss your needs, you are already informed on the basics.

There are many types of solar options but I’m going to focus on what we use in Thailand.

We are offering a ‘Hybrid” version that uses the grid power, with solar power and stored battery power.

We do not do “Off Grid” as our clients live ‘On Grid’ and we do not offer “Micro Inverter” as an option as they do not allow for battery storage.

Frankly anyone who offers a solar solution without batteries is doing their clients a disservice. If batteries are not affordable immediately, by using a Hybrid Inverter you have to choice to add later. This is a core principle that we offer and build in ‘future proof solutions.’

Why SOLAR IN A BOX?

As you can guess you cannot get a complete solar system in “One Box.” It’s a concept that delivers all the components on pallets in one shipment. It could be one pallet or multiple pallets, depending on the solar systems size.

It’s really simple based on a business model of having the best and latest products available when you need them.

What does that mean?

We do not carry any inventory.
You are not buying last years or old inventory.
We offer the ‘RIGHT SOLUTION’ based on your needs, NOT on what we need to sell to get rid of old products or inventory.
We order the exact specification products you need.
We schedule a time to install once the products have been ordered.
We are working for you to deliver the best solution possible. Irrespective of the brand of panels, inverters or batteries.

The “Boxes” are delivered to your house and we arrive early on that day to ensure the delivery is complete and not your responsibility. We are there to start the installation preparation.

We will already have been to your property to-
1. Discuss the options, review your needs, make suggestions and recommendations, discuss the products available to you based on your budget and power requirements.
2. Measure and have the solar panel layout mapped out.
3. Prepared the wiring and layout by our ‘certified and licensed’ electrician. He will examine the electrical situation, determine where to put the batteries, inverter/s, meter/s, junction boxes and battery location.

In fact a plan for the complete installation.

ALUMINIUM SKIRTS to hide the rails and brackets, and, give extra protection during high winds. Prevent uplift of the panels.

SOLAR PANELS

MR SOLAR AND SUN uses a variety of Tier 1 Solar Panels, we choose the manufacturer depending on who has the highest wattage panels at the moment when we need to order for our clients.

We only use new 2020 manufactured high performance, extremely reliable and cost-effective panels. It is not logical to put solar panels that are not high quality, as this is not an exercise you want to do frequently. Our panels are guaranteed from 10 - 20 years depending on the manufacturer. Our manufacturers guarantee are from global companies that will expect be around to honor that guarantee.

SOLAR INVERTERS
We have chosen the GoodWe Series of Inverters as they are of the highest quality and best value. They have 3Phase and 1Phase versions. They are world class Inverters, however there are many other choices we can discuss and explain the benefits. One condition is the inverters work with Pylontech batteries, either Lithium Ferrous Phosphate or GEL batteries.
We do not offer Lead Acid batteries as they require to much maintenance and are more suited for Off Grid living where budget is critical and time or desire to do maintenance is not an issue.

GoodWe Brand
The brand new ET Series, from GoodWe, is a three-phase high voltage energy storage inverter that enables enhanced energy independence and maximizes self-consumption through an export limit feature and time of use shifts for reduced electric bills.

Covering a power range of 5 kW, 8 kW and 10 kW, the ET Series allows up to 10% overloading to maximize power output and features Uninterruptible Power Supply Function (UPS) to inductive loads such as air conditioners or refrigerators with an automatic switchover time of less than 10 milliseconds, providing savings when the grid is up and independence and security when it is down or compromised.
